Before we go any further we need to explain that headline. We’re not getting grossed out by the idea of vibrators, or the thought of Hollywood actressMaggie Gyllenhaal discussing vibrators and sex with her friends (we’re all grown ups here, well most of the time anyway), we’re actually feeling a little queasy at hearing that Maggie lends sex toys to her friend. Yes, lends.
Maggie has just completed work on a new movie called, Hysteria - which is all about the invention of the vibrator - and unsurprisingly she’s been send of few of the devices. The actress told Contactmusic,
"By the time I finished the movie I'd been sent maybe 15 vibrators by different people in London with vibrator stores. It was a pleasant surprise.
"So I have this incredible collection, and I actually use like one or two of them. I lend them to my friends, and they'll take them for six months at a time."
Now, we happily share our shoes with our best pals, we’ll loan out our favourite dress with no problem, we’ve even been known to share lipstick. But as much as we love our friends we can’t imagine ever lending them a sex toy and then asking them to return it six months later. Call us prudes, but we’d probably just let them keep it.
